At Bar-sur-Aube (Aube), in 2013, an Inrap team realized an archaeological excavation in advance of the construction of a new road and a housing development, under the curation of the State (Drac Champagne).
Inrap has just completed five months of archaeological excavation at Entrains-sur-Nohain in advance of a private development project, curated by the State (Drac Burgundy). The 1000 m2 explored yielded part of the Antique town of Intaranum. The archaeologists unexpectedly discovered the remains of a mass grave, providing evidence of a massacre of a civil population.
In advance of the construction of an industrial business park by the associated communes of Pays de Sainte Odile, Inrap has just finished a large excavation at Obernai, under the curation of the State (DRAC Alsace).
The police headquarters (PH) and the Institut National de Recherches Archéologiques Préventives (Inrap) invite you to travel back in time and to look through a window into the history of Paris on the occasion of an exceptional presentation of the 300 m² of preventive archaeological excavations realized in the center of the Ile de la Cité, at 2 rue Lutèce, within the walls of the police headquarters.This research, taking place in advance of the construction of a new public reception hall, is lead by four specialists of Parisian urban archaeology and one physical anthropologist.
In the context of archaeological research conducted under the curation of the State (Drac Picardie), in advance of the construction of the canal Seine-Nord Europe, and under the contracting authority of Voies navigables de France, an Inrap team recently discovered a Gallo-Roman sanctuary (fanum) in the districts of Nesle and Mesnil-Saint-Nicaise (Somme).
Since December 2011, a team of Inrap archaeologists has been excavating the site of the Jacobins convent in Rennes. This work is curated by the State (Drac Burgundy). The site is located in the future location of the Rennes Métropole conference center and is one of the largest urban excavations ever realized in western France.
In the heart of the historic center of Strasbourg, classified as a World Heritage Site, a team of Inrap archaeologists are currently excavating the Place du Château at the foot of the cathedral. This work is curated by the State (Drac Alsace).
