Discoveries
A team from the Institut national de recherches archéologiques preventives (Inrap) has found important Gallo-Roman and Mediaeval remains in the town of Vanves. A preventive excavation, curated by the State, is being carried out prior to the construction of a residential building.

A team from the Institut National de recherches archéologiques préventives (Inrap) is at present working in the historic centre of Guerande, an opportunity provided by work on the squares as well as the parvis of the Collegiate Church of Saint-Aubin.

Discoveries
The catacomb of saints Marcellinus and Peter in Rome has been undergoing systematic excavation since 2005. The research involves the Pontifical Commission of Sacred Archaeology (Holy See), the CNRS, the Ecole française of Rome, the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research and the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme of Aquitaine (MSHA), who are all collaborating on this project.

Discoveries
In advance of a landscaping project realized by Euroméditerranée on the esplanade of the Marseille Cathedral (also known as "The Major"), a preventive excavation is being conducted by an Inrap team until the end of November 2008.

Discoveries
During the construction of a housing project at Propriano (Southern Corsica) by the Limat Promotion property group, Inrap archaeologists have unearthed, by order of the State (DRAC Corsica), a classical construction, a collection of churches and an Antique necropolis.

Discoveries
For more than six years, several operations of preventive archaeology have been carried out in the centre of Bondy. The successive excavations have revealed, between the Church and the Hôtel de Ville, traces of ancient and medieval occupations, dating from the 3rd to the 11th centuries AD.

Discoveries
In the heart of the historic center of Strasbourg, classified as a World Heritage Site, a team of Inrap archaeologists are currently excavating the Place du Château at the foot of the cathedral. This work is curated by the State (Drac Alsace).

Discoveries
Since December 2011, a team of Inrap archaeologists has been excavating the site of the Jacobins convent in Rennes. This work is curated by the State (Drac Burgundy). The site is located in the future location of the Rennes Métropole conference center and is one of the largest urban excavations ever realized in western France.
