Unearthed by a team of Inrap archaeologists, the princely tomb of Lavau, dated to the early 5th century BC, contains exceptional grave goods: a Mediterranean bronze cauldron with lion heads and the head of Achelous (river-deity), an Attican oenochoe with black figures, a ciste, bronze basins, etc.

From 2011 to 2013, an Inrap team realized a rescue excavation, curated by the State (Drac Brittany), at the Jacobin Convent, the future site of the Rennes Métropole conference center. Two years later, the ongoing studies have yielded new discoveries.

From September to November 2014, a team of Inrap archaeologists conducted a rescue excavation, under prescription of the State (Drac Poitou-Charentes), on a 613 m2 parcel in advance of the construction of a single-family home in the western quarter of Saintes.

A team of Inrap archaeologists is currently excavating artefacts from the First World War near Reims. Covering 4.5 hectares, this Inrap excavation, curated by the State (Drac Champagne-Ardenne), is taking place in advance of the construction of an activity zone for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Reims-Epernay.

On the prehistoric site of Tourville-la-Rivière (Seine-Maritime, Normandy), a team of archaeologists from the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap) has discovered the remains of a pre-Neanderthal. This important discovery has recently been published in the international journal PLOS ONE by a group of researchers from the CNRS, Inrap, the Australian National University, the National Research Centre on Human Evolution of Burgos and the Department Anthropology of the Washington University in Saint Louis.
