Archaeology of Migrations
by Isabelle Catteddu, Inrap
Isabelle Catteddu, holds a PhD in Medieval Archaeology from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and is an archaeologist at Inrap. Specialising in the first period of the Middle Ages, she has led major preventive excavations of structures and necropoli dating from the Early Middle Ages in the northern half of France. Her research looks at occupation strategies in rural spaces, at the history of space management and the long-term resilience of territories, as well as at the relationships between societies and their environment. She frequently gives conference talks across Europe and the United States.
