The archaeological excavations carried by Inrap at Siem Reap are connected to the Siem Reap International Airport expansion which is located close to the vast Angkor Archaeological Park. In 2011, excavations focused on the area of Prasat Trapeang Ropou where constructions built between the 10th and 14th centuries were found, and also in the area of Tuol Ta Lo, which is located within the airport district, including a temple dating back to the 10th or 11th century.
